In keeping with our tradition, we sat with the upper crust in Lakeway for their parade. It opened this year with a helicopter flying around over the roof tops and a low flyover with two F-18 jets. Sadly, no dancing grandmas this year. Kids made off with a haul of candy and had their bags ready to go.
We lit "legal" fireworks with our neighbors again this year. We threw a lot in the air for extra drama. In other words, it was contest of which dad can burn their fingers first. We did it a day early since we were leaving for CA early on the 5th.
