California 2012 - Tracy

We had a great week long trip the CA bay area.  Flew in/out Oakland and spent days in Tracy, Pescadero, Monterey, and San Francisco.

The Stewart/Stoddard families are spread all over the country; therefore visits are rare. D&A warmly welcomed us in Tracy. The cousins played and the adults had several opportunities to catch up. W&G and their furry friend also came to spend the day. This made for a lot of bumper boats and squirt guns in the pool, wrestling, and good converstation after the kids went down for the night. Other highlights included the Alameda County Fair, long neighborhood walk to park in perfect weather, visit to the Livermore police department, and lots of great food.

 What's up cuz?

 

 The entire weekend Ben pretended to be a 7yr old doing exactly everything K did.  This included jumping off the waterfall with zero hesitation.  Just a few weeks ago, he finally convinced himself that sticking his head under water was okay.  Falling off the wall didn't even stop him.

Alameda Co Fair.  Mary threw up that day.  We thought it was a cocktail of heat, sugar, and fatigue.  We were wrong.

Big thanks to D&A who made us feel at home.  We parted on Sunday with a trunk full of food, fresh baked cookies, and our sights on the coast.
