Witte Museum
Very hot and crowded river boat cruise on the River Walk. Later in the evening while Ben and Mom were finishing up dinner, Mary and Dad went outside the restaurant to look at the ducks on the River Walk. A zealous duck lover kid walked down next to us and slipped on the step into the river. His dad and I pulled him out, soaking but unharmed.
We have a "kiddie" amusement park in Austin, but Kiddie Park in San Antonio is apparently the oldest kids amusement park in the United States. The park has been open since 1925. With a modest entry fee, the kids can ride them all as many times as they like.
Dad gets sick on rides that spin (especially in the heat) so Mom made Ben happy and rode this one with him. Mary happily sat this one out too.

Looks like you all had a really fun time!
Preschoolers' nirvana!
I like the ultra-girly pink and flowery plane..... with the machine gun??
Mary still talks about that pink plane. These rides were really from a different era. Machine guns, very flimsy safety features, water under the boats that looked so gross. Thank goodness my kids didn't want to put their hands in.
