Breckenridge, Colorado
A belated post on a week long mini family reunion in Breckenridge. There are literally hundreds of photos between all the family members but here are a select few from our camera. The weather was amazing with highs in the low 70s and full sun every day. Our room at the Main Street Station had a great view.
The pond outside our room provided lots of entertainment all week.
Family members look on as we try to catch trout in Frisco.
Only one small fish was caught between the group.
Riding the gondola to the top in Breckenridge. Both Ben and Mary loved this and we could have entertained them all afternoon just riding this around. Best part for us: it was free.
The real reason for the ride was to get to the alpine slides. Ben had a turn with each of us and he couldn't get enough of it.

Lots of down time in the room too. Ben and Mary loved wresting on the fold out couch.
Took a day trip to Leadville. Great scenery over the pass. Aspens had turned. Leadville is a historic mining town with a lot of character. The main event for Ben was the old trains parked at the train station.
We ate lunch in time to return to the train station to watch the train leave the station. Here we are waiting and watching the people board the train.
G'pa and G'ma Stewart sitting with all three of their grandkids.
Bye train!
One night we returned to the park/pond in Frisco for a picnic dinner. Dirk and Anna grilled steaks.
Tried fishing again once we saw all the fish jumping. Only caught one. Dirk is showing Ben the finer details of casting.
Took another day trip to Fairplay to see South Park which is a great outdoor history musuem. More trains. They never get old in Ben's world.
You could climb on these trains and ring the bell.
Second cousins.

Every body took a turn cooking dinner for group. Kids got to eat first most nights.
Here is all 14 of us representing three generations. The Stoddard and Stewart Family reunion.

That was some vacation. Bet you all hated to leave. Ben might have been the happiest one, with all those trains and fun people... Not in that order.
