Advent 2011

The kids "get it" more each year. It was fun for them to be more directly involved in the preparation. Picking the day to setup the tree is debated each year. We did it a little earlier (depending on who you ask) since we were traveling for Christmas.
How's this one?Very proud of their work. In previous years, they were bored and walked away after 5 minutes. This year they hung ornaments until they were gone. Only a few fights over the prime locations on the branches.G'ma and G'pa S gave us an interactive advent calendar for the computer again this year which always is a hug hit. Both can sit in front of the computer for long time and play their favorite day over and over as if they saw it for the first time. They would wake up and ask to "open" the next day before breakfast every day. Thank goodness G'ma and G'pa had the same calendar on their computer when we got to OKC so they could finish the countdown.
