Tuesday morning we got our first real worry in Mary's life when she had a seizure while Eric was carrying her in the kitchen. We rushed to the children's hospital where she had a second seizure in the ER. That earned her an overnight stay and an onslaught of tests. Thankfully, all of her tests came back perfect and normal, so the seizures are a puzzle. Now we are home and keeping a closer (paranoid!) eye on her and getting back to normal.
The second day was more relaxed once we could disconnect her from some of her wires. Mary says who needs a pulse ox monitor on your toe when you can just stick it in your mouth.
She could finally eat the second day although it seems feeding daddy cheerios was more fun.
Even the EEG goop was no match for her curls.
Back at home and doing what she does best.

Glad she is home, glad all tests were negative. She certainly looks undisturbed by the entire ordeal!

How scary that must have been for you Eric and Jane. I'm so sorry you had to go through that but glad that all appears normal. Did she have a fever at all? I hear kids can have seizures when they get fevers.
No fever, thus the full day of tests. Blood and urine labs, lumbar puncture (spinal tap), EKG, EEG, CT scan, and MRI with full anethesia and intubation. Good times.
So glad Mary is back at home and doing well...I can imagine how scary this must have been for you guys. She looks like a brave little trooper though through it all!
