Ben had his 1 year check up and shots today. The poor kid is ok with me in the doctor's office, but as soon as the nurse or doctor walks in he starts crying. He knows he'll be poked, prodded, and needled.

Weight: 23 lb. 2 oz. (50%)
Head Circumference: 50 cm (> 97% off the charts?!) no wonder the necks of some shirts are tight over his head.
Other than being upset, Ben had a good check up. The doctor was pleased about Ben's walking, only slightly questioning that he isn't talking yet, and was reassuring when I talked about Ben falling and hurting his tooth. "You'd be amazed what they can recover from." Next visit is at 15 months.
Eric took Ben to the dentist this morning. Yup, two doctor appointments in one day. Quick checkup and general discussion about oral hygiene. Nothing wrong with his tooth, etc. The dentist pointed out that Ben has an overbite. Better start saving for braces now.

Good news about the tooth! Ben will probably have trouble getting a mortar board to stay on, just like his Dad. How clever to put rings on the helium ballons for the kids. Looks like the kids had a good time!!
